The vast majority use the Terminator-derived helmet, though the Corvus helmet still exists. MARK VII AQUILA - (Also: EAGLE) Most common armor type in M41. MARK VI CORVUS - This subtype of Codex Armor utilized the Corvus helmet. This suit's chest armor covered the cabling that had proven a consistent weakness on many earlier types. Two helmet variants existed: the beaked Corvus type and one based on experimental Terminator designs. Most suits retained the studded shoulder guard of the Mark V type for the left pauldron. MARK VI CODEX - Used in the post-Heresy years. Its studded plates were easier to produce, but slightly less effective. MARK V HERESY - Used by many Marines during the Horus Heresy. Its overlapping hoop-shaped armor plates allowed for ease of movement, but were notoriously difficult to maintain. MARK II CRUSADE - Used by the Space Marine Legions during the Great Crusade to reunite humanity. This is the only Mark that wasn't enclosed.
